![]() ![]() Mortal Kombat 11 had two character packs and an expansion (and cosmetic DLC) and I imagine 12 will probably be similar. The $105 dollar version contains some extra cosmetics, and 2 additional background stages, but for the sake of this conversation we'll just call those cosmetic also and say that $85 is the amount you need to spend out of the gate to get all the non-cosmetic content. ![]() If you want to get the version of the game that includes the DLC pass, you're already looking at $85. Meanwhile you've got something like Street Fighter 6 for instance that has Year 1 DLC announced prior to the game's release, that includes 4 characters (a pretty important part of a fighting game). So if I want to have access to everything gameplay-wise at launch and for the foreseeable future, it's $70. To start with no expansion has been announced yet, and battle passes and in game store is all cosmetic. ![]() No lie, but it does feel like it's misleadingly trying to paint "most different ways to spend money on a game" with "most predatory mtx" or "most expensive game". ![]()
